About the property
THE LOCATION:
We are delighted to share our home! We are located within walking distance of both the Design District and Midtown Miami – the Institute of Contemporary Art, galleries and restaurants, high-end shops like Fendi and Gucci, and also shopping essentials like Target. 20 minutes walk to Wynwood or a 5 minute drive. This is one of the few places you are able to walk everywhere!
In the other direction there is a 5 minute walk to upper Buena Vista boutique complex which consists of outdoor dining and coffee shops and boutique stores. We are also surrounded by some fo the best restaurants such as Mandolin consistently voted one of th best outdoor restaurants in Miami.
If you have a car or grab an Uber you can travel 15 minutes to Miami Beach, 15 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to Downtown/Brickell, and the easiest closet beach would be heading straight across NE79th Street to North Beach (10 to 15 minute drive)
The LISTING:
This listing is for the cottage at the back of our house, which includes separate upstairs and downstairs apartments with two separate entrances. Both units have been fully renovated with brand-new kitchens and bathrooms.
THE APARTMENTS have a king bed, and sofa bed, kitchen, living room area, bar kitchen table, separate bathroom with shower. The furnishings are very similar and are all fully equipped with everything you need!
We provide an equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge with freezer, full-size stove and oven, microwave, pots and pans, and crockery and cutlery. Seating is around a breakfast bar, the living room area has direct tv and of course a great internet connection!
The king bed is in its own space. We have an open floor plan, so the king bed can be separated from the kitchen and living area with a large curtain. The King bed has a leather frame and a very comfortable memory foam mattress. You also get a queen size sofa bed in the living room area. It has a brand new a/c split unit.
THE OUTDOOR SPACE:
To reach each cottage you would go through a gate, which is shared with the other guest. We provide the code prior to arrival. Each cottage has its own entrance. Both the laundry room and the backyard jacuzzi area is shared between guests. The jacuzzi is completely decked and enclosed. This is fenced area with a door and lock for privacy. As we have shared laundry and a shared backyard, we ask all guests to be respectful of one another in terms of noise, especially after 10 p.m. Laundry and hot tub available from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
PARKING:
There is parking for one car on the driveway. This is on a first come first serve basis. (We do not guarantee parking at the premises) The house will have access to parking directly in front of the house therefore the parking entrance needs to remain clear of cars at all times.
There is also free street parking on the road opposite the property or across from North Miami Avenue. Please watch out for residents signs.
Guests will Florida plates will be able to obtain a residents parking permit.

Guests can park on the street close by for free on-street parking. Strictly no parking at the premises.

- There will be guests in the front unit. They are two completely separate buildings and areas. All renters are permitted to use the yard and hot tubs

- We ask that the use of the laundry room and hot tub area are limited to 8am - 10pm daily. We reserve the right
to lock one or either area to ensure that this is adhered too as respect to all guests is absolute paramount.
*This is a non smoking cottage. You are welcome to smoke outside but we would ask our guests not to smoke in the cottage. A deep cleaning fee of $250 on departure if our guests smoke in the property. - Guests can send mail and packages to the house but mail is the sole responsibility of each guest.
- No loud music or parties at any time.
PARKING
For the first time we are offering guest parking on the driveway. The parking is for one car and will be shared between the guest houses so therefore it will be on a first come/first serve basis. Only one car can park here at anytime. (We do not guarantee parking)
Guests who are unable to park on the driveway or who have 2 cars can street park for free on the street opposite the property or across from North Miami Avenue. We ask guests to be aware of residential parking street signs.
The front of the driveway has to be free of cars at all times so that house guests can also get in and out of the driveway.
There is also an option to obtain a residents’ parking pass online at a relatively inexpensive cost if you have Florida plates.
SECURITY CAMERAS
- We have a security camera overlooking the front door of the main house.
- Security camera overlooking the fence. No other cameras in any part of the property.
DOG FRIENDLY
Dogs are allowed nonetheless we must be made aware that you are bringing a dog. There is a one off additional pet fee of $100 for each pet per stay. If we are not advised that you are bringing a pet the fee will increase to $500 and you may be asked to leave without a refund.
- If you have pets we are ask that you pick up after them in the yard area. Consistent abuse of this will lead to charges imposed due to hiring a daily yard person to pass by. (We will only do this if we absolutely have to)
*As this is a dog friendly property there maybe other dogs within the yard area at times.

The cottage has two apartments with their own entrances and is for your sole use.

In a charming historic neighborhood with tree lined streets. Very nice courtyard, quiet and secluded. All amenities needed for a long stay (dishwasher, full sized kitchen, access to washer dryer). Large comfortable bed. Responsive friendly hosts available to help if needed. Easy, peaceful stay!
Harry was very responsive to any needs I had and was very kind. The place is in a great area and was very walkable for those who have dogs! Overall it was great!
